R M Singh is a rare artist: gifted with the brush and blessed with deep sensitivity. Capt. Amarinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister of Education, Singapore, both have one thing in common, they own works by R M Singh, as do private collectors in the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK, Singapore, Denmark and Russia. His paintings form a significant part of the collection of the Centre of Sikh and Punjab Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara, USA.
R M Singh was born in Pathankot. He studied at the College of Art, Chandigarh, and has made the City Beautiful his home. His wife, Sangeeta is also an artist.
